Houkago no Pleiades (or Wish Upon The Pleiades) is the best anime I’ve seen! After the nightmare that was known as Corpse Party: Tortured Soul, this Gaimax-Subaru collaboration gave me something to love about Japan.

Also, boxer engine sounds included.

It’s probably actually supposed to represent my mentor as a hobbyist mechanic, Ginger Carl.

Carl wasn’t his real name either, he changed it after something happened with the government that he was legally barred from explaining to us.

Either way he was crushed to death by a Subaru XT back in ‘93.

Also, interestingly enough, the Turbos in the Forester XT are manufactured by Mitsubishi.

Yeah Mitsubishi loves them some TD04. You can tell, because they generate noise and heat but don’t work very well.
